Information, not advice

The site publishes energy data, explanations and estimates. It does not provide financial, legal or engineering advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy a particular product, tariff or installation.

Always check figures that matter against your own bill, meter readings and a qualified installer or supplier before making a decision.

Data accuracy

Live and historical energy data comes from third parties including NESO, Elexon, National Gas Transmission, Ofgem and DESNZ. We publish what those sources report and label estimates, forecasts and delayed data clearly.

We cannot guarantee that third-party data is complete or uninterrupted. Where a source is unavailable we say so rather than substituting a value.

Calculators

Calculator results are estimates based on the assumptions published alongside each tool. Your actual costs will differ.

Use of our content

You may quote and link to our pages with attribution to energy.org.uk. Republishing whole pages or bulk copying of our data requires permission.

Underlying source data remains subject to the licence terms of the original publisher.
