Cookie policy

energy.org.uk uses a small number of cookies. None of them are advertising cookies.

Essential cookies

We don't set our own cookies to make the site work. Answers you share between tools during a visit, such as your postcode, are kept in your browser's session storage instead, which is cleared when you close the tab. If you choose an electric car in the EV tools, that choice is remembered in your browser's local storage until you reset it or clear your browser data.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) when a page loads, to count visits and page views so we can see which information is useful. The data is aggregated and isn't used to identify you.

Advertising

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks.

Turning cookies off

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. The site remains fully usable with cookies blocked.
