How prices are chosen

Home charging uses the Ofgem price cap electricity unit rate, Great Britain average, direct debit. The standing charge is excluded because you pay it whether or not you charge the car.

Public chargers below 50 kW use 54p and rapid chargers at 50 kW or above use 77p per kWh: Zapmap Charging Price Index, weighted PAYG averages, August 2026.
