How this estimate works
EV electricity is your mileage divided by the car's real-world efficiency, plus a typical allowance for home charging losses.
Solar generation uses long-term sunlight for central England and an east/west roof, unless you came from the solar calculator with your own estimate.
We do not estimate the share of charging met directly by solar, because it depends on when you are home and plugged in.
