How this estimate works
- Yearly electricity = miles ÷ your car's efficiency from our car data, plus 10% home charging losses.
- We assume your car is scheduled to charge in the cheap hours. If a typical day's charging fits in the cheap hours at 7kW (or your car's lower limit), all of it uses the off-peak rate. If not, the rest uses the peak rate.
- Rates are the supplier's published direct-debit prices including VAT, averaged across Great Britain's regions. Your region's price will differ slightly.
- Household use presets are Ofgem's typical consumption values (source), assumed spread evenly through the day. The standing charge is only included in the household total.
- Tariffs are listed in no particular order. Only tariffs whose current rates we could read from the supplier are shown; we don't rank them.
