Help with bills

    Priority Services Register

    Free extra help from your supplier and network, such as advance notice of power cuts and accessible bills. It does not reduce prices.

    People of State Pension age, pregnant or with young children, disabled or with a long-term health condition, or needing extra help for a while after a change such as illness or bereavement.

    Warm Home Discount

    £150 off your electricity bill, usually paid automatically.

    Households getting Pension Credit, income-related ESA, Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, named on the electricity bill with a participating supplier.

    £25 for each 7-day period of very cold weather between 1 November and 31 March.

Help with insulation and heating

    Warm Homes: Local Grant

    Energy-saving improvements such as insulation, through your council.

    Lower-income households in homes with an EPC rating of D to G. Availability varies by council.

    Insulation or heating improvements through energy suppliers, until 31 December 2026.

    Mainly lower-income and vulnerable households. Whether a supplier takes new applications depends on its plans.
