Three things to check

  1. Do this first

Give your supplier an up-to-date meter reading

Your bill should say whether it used an actual, smart or estimated reading. If it was estimated, send a reading.

Work out usage from readings →
  2. Worth checking

    Find your annual kWh

Your bill or online account usually shows how many kWh you used in the last year. That tells you whether the problem is how much you use or what you pay for it.

Or work it out from readings →
  3. Worth checking

Check your Direct Debit against your use

A high monthly payment is not always a high bill. Your payment depends on your expected use, the time of year and any credit or debt on the account.
